Under EU legislation, the UK has to ensure that less than one third of its waste is sent for landfill by 2020. But by that time these sites will have been full for 7 years! At present we bury a massive 80-90% of our waste. We know that at least two thirds of this is fit for recycling. ‘So, lets not bury our heads in the ground as well as our waste!’.

A1 Supa Skips (think pink!) process Aggregates, Soil, Wood, Metal etc and have one of the largest and most efficient processing plants in the North of England. The plant, based in Lancaster, has an average recycling rate of 97%. This means that at present A1 SUPASKIPS (think pink!) are achieving higher recycling figures than many of the local councils and is diverting approximately 600 tonnes of general waste away from landfill daily – How good is that?
In partnership with our sister company ENVIROfirst we operate a dedicated dry recycling centre also based in Lancaster processing Cardboard, Paper, Plastic Film, Plastic Bottles, Tin Cans and Glass Containers. The complete package meeting all the needs of the environmentally conscious customer.

Recycled Soil
A soil product which is tested to BS3882 and DEFRA SGVA. Our soil is screened to 10mm is very easy to work with and is suitable for most landscaping projects.
Because this soil is recycled it is available at a fraction of the price of some as dug soils and is far kinder to the environment.
Recycled Aggregates
A1 Supaskips (think pink!) can supply the following aggregates in eight or twenty tonne loads at competitive prices throughout the local area.
- Crusher Run (75mm down)
- Drainage Stone ( 20-70mm)
- Small Stone (10-20mm)
These are produced in our processing plant in Lancaster and are delivered directly thus keeping costs to a minimum.
