A1 Supaskips (think pink!) have been successfully working in partnership with Norwest Holst over the last couple of years, on several phases of construction at Lancaster University

In order to meet the requirement of the new legislation, Norwest Holst (with help from A1 Supaskips (think pink!) have recently set up and implemented a full Site Waste Mangement Plan   for Phase 4 at Lancaster University. The new legislation was introduced in April 2008 and aimed at creating awareness and the need to recycle materials on site.

The photos above were from Norwest Holst recent visit to

A1 Supaskips (think pink!) Recycling Centre.

As a result of the visit Norwest Holst are more than pleased with the service that Supaskips are providing thier sites, and state they would never be able to segregate their waste to such a high standard.

At 84% the recycle rate at Norwest Holsts Lancaster University Phase 4 is superior to the target rate set by the local council.

Norwest Holst Site Management team at Lancaster University see this system as the best practice regarding waste control and intend to carry on using it on other contracts.

Using A1 Supaskips (think pink!) state of the art recycling plant and careful  monitoring and training on site, are the reason Norwest Holst are able to achieve recycling figures in excess of 84%.
